How it works

Order and tell us about them
Answer some fun questions: their name, what they love, their catchphrase, who's in their world, and who the baddie should be. Upload a few clear photos of them and anyone else in the story.

We draw and write it
We draw your child as a comic hero from their photos and you approve how they look first. Then we write and draw the whole adventure, keeping them looking the same on every page.

Approve, print, post
We send you a preview link to read the whole comic. Ask for changes, then we print it and post it to you, usually within a week of you approving it.

Christmas or birthday?
Christmas edition
A baddie freezes Christmas and only your child can save it. Snow, Santa, matching pyjamas and a big Christmas-morning ending.
Order by 10 December for Christmas delivery.
Birthday edition
Someone's stolen the birthday cake, or the party's in trouble. Your child saves the day, and it ends with candles, presents and their real age on the cake.

After you pay, you'll go straight to the questions and photo upload. It takes about 10 minutes.
Questions
Will it really look like my child?
We draw them from your photos and send you their character drawing to approve before we draw anything else. Then every page is checked against that drawing, so they look like the same child from the cover to the last page. Clear, front-facing photos in good light work best.
Can brothers, sisters and friends be in it?
Yes. Upload a labelled photo of each person and tell us a bit about them. Siblings often end up as sidekicks. Best mates can make the winning pass.
What happens to the photos?
We only use them to make the comic, and we delete them once it's printed. We never use your child's photos in our own marketing without asking you first.
What age is it for?
It's written for children from about 4 to 10. Younger ones love having it read to them; older ones read it themselves again and again.
Can I change things?
Yes. You'll get a preview link to read the whole comic. Tell us what to change, from a word in a speech bubble to how someone looks, and we'll fix it before printing.
How long does it take?
We usually send the preview within 3 to 4 days of getting your answers and photos. Once you approve it, it's printed and posted within about a week.
Who's the baddie?
You choose. Pick one of ours, like Dr Frostbite, or tell us your own idea. Baddies are always funny rather than scary, and they usually end up joining the team.
